Our wild Mahi Mahi is sold in quantities of 6-7 ounces and is captured off the Vietnamese coast. This fish is frequently referred to as mahi-mahi, which is a Hawaiian word that meaning “very strong” due to its capacity to fend off predators. Mahi Mahi fillets are lighter in colour and have a meaty feel akin to red snapper and salmon.

To cook mahi mahi offers a multitude of options due to its versatility. It can be incorporated into various dishes using a wide range of cooking techniques: Grilling, baking, pan-searing, skewering, steaming, or frying in batter are all viable methods to prepare this fish. However, it’s important to note that the skin of Mahi Mahi remains tough even after cooking and is not recommended for consumption.
Regardless of your chosen cooking method, remember to season the fish just before cooking. Seasoning beforehand draws out moisture, potentially drying out the fish. It is advisable to cook the Mahi Mahi within three minutes of seasoning. Once cooked thoroughly, the fish will exhibit an opaque pinkish-white color, indicating it is ready to be enjoyed.
