Castlemead Poultry, Heywood Farm, Radstock, close to Bath, is the source of all of our free-range chicken. Stuart is pleased to be the third generation of his family to farm at Heywood, a business they founded in 1940.
The chickens at Castlemead grow slowly, receive no antibiotics, and live twice as long as chickens you may buy at the grocery store. From dawn till dusk, they are free to roam the fields around their homes, adding natural goodness to their diets to balance the locally grown and milled cereals they are fed.
They go into their homes at night to get a nice night’s sleep and shelter from the fox.
